On 17 - 18 December 2024 was held the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘30 Years of ATU Gagauzia: History, Culture, Diplomacy’. The conference was organised by the Research Centre of Gagauzia named after M.V. Marunevich. M.V. Marunevich in partnership with the General Directorate of Culture of Gagauzia, the General Directorate of Education of Gagauzia and CSU. During the work of three sections, the historical path of ATU Gagauzia was discussed: - Analyses of key events, formation of the autonomy, its socio-economic development and international relations. - Study of the cultural heritage of ATU Gagauzia: traditions, folklore, language and literature of the Gagauz people. - Development of diplomatic relations: discussion of the prospects of international co-operation of ATU Gagauzia in political, economic and cultural spheres. The participants of the conference shared their research, exchanged opinions and outlined further directions of co-operation. During the conference, the participants tried to evaluate the way ATU Gagauzia has travelled, identify existing problems and define the prospects for further development of the autonomy.  From the Chair of Gagauz Philology and History, the conference was addressed by Doctor of Philological Sciences, conference officer Ivanna Bankova, Doctor of Historical Sciences Petr Pașalî, Doctor of Philological Sciences Vitalii Sîrf, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Acting Head of the Chair Galina Mutaf.
