A MEANINGFUL GIFT FOR THE MUSIC MUSEUM of Comrat State University!

The Music Museum of Comrat State University (CSU) has been enriched with a unique exhibit — the Ney, a wind musical instrument with a millennia-old history, a symbol of Turkish culture and spirituality.
This valuable gift was presented by the Rector of Aksaray University, Prof. Dr. Alpay ARIBAŞ, during the working visit of CSU Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei ZAHARIA, to the Republic of Turkey.

The instrument was officially handed over to the museum’s inventory to  Tatiana ȘEGOLEVA, Head of the Department of Music at the Faculty of National Culture of CSU, and Merited Artist of the Republic of Moldova.

The Ney is more than just a musical instrument — it is the voice of the soul, a bridge between cultures, a path to inner peace.

Thanks to the support of TİKA, the CSU museum is becoming a space for international cultural dialogue.

This event strengthens the friendship between the Republic of Moldova (ATU Gagauzia) and the Republic of Turkey and takes cultural cooperation to a new level.
The Ney is a wind instrument made of reed, with a history spanning thousands of years. It holds an important place in the musical cultures of Turkey, Iran, and the Arab world.
Similar instruments were known in ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations, but in the Islamic world, the Ney has gained special development and deep significance, especially in Sufi music.
In the works of Mevlana Jalaleddin Rumi, the Ney symbolizes the longing of the soul for divine love. Thus, the Ney is not just a musical instrument — it is the voice of the soul and a guide on the inner journey!

We thank our partners from the Republic of Turkey for this valuable gesture!
