On March 11, 2026, a lecturer from Comrat State University, Doctor, Associate Professor Larisa Boikova, took part in the public discussion of the Concept-2026 for the Curriculum in Bulgarian Language and Literature (Grades I–XII).

The event was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and brought together representatives of the academic community and practicing teachers.

Larisa Boikova is a member of the expert group working on the development of this strategic document aimed at updating the content of teaching Bulgarian language and literature in the general education system.

The presented concept focuses on modernizing the educational process and provides for a transition to a competency-based learning model aimed at developing students’ functional literacy and communication skills.

Among the priority areas are the integration of the STEAM approach, the digitalization of the educational process, and strengthening the role of the native language as a factor in developing critical thinking and preserving cultural identity in a multilingual environment.

During the discussion, participants emphasized the importance of obtaining feedback from the teaching community. The proposals and recommendations will be taken into account in the further refinement and finalization of the Concept-2026.
