“Together We Are Stronger”

On March 9, 2026, a thematic event dedicated to International Women’s Day was held at the Department of Foreign Languages of Comrat State University. Students of groups RA-24 and AN-24 turned an ordinary study day into a real celebration with presentations, games, and sweet treats.

The event was opened by English teacher Praskovia Nicolaeva, who delivered a warm welcoming speech about the significance of the holiday. Afterwards, the floor was given to the students, each of whom had prepared a unique presentation.

Olga Сrudu introduced the audience to the history and symbolism of March 8, while Svetlana Esir complemented the story with an engaging presentation about the origins of the holiday. Anastasia Novacpresented a vivid overview of ten great women who changed the world, including Coco Chanel, Marie Curie, and Cleopatra. At the end of her presentation, she organized a mini-quiz called “Who am I?”, in which participants had to guess a famous personality based on facts written on cards, as well as a quiz “Who said it?” about quotes from heroines of popular TV series about women and love.

Olga Bratan shared a beautiful legend associated with the holiday. Svetlana Popa engaged everyone with a puzzle game: participants had to assemble portraits of three famous women using clues hidden on the back of the pieces. Tatiana Zabunova prepared an original crossword puzzle whose key word turned out to be the delicious word “Chocolate”.

Other competitions were equally lively. Afina Deli organized the game “Crocodile”: each participant drew a card with the name and photo of a famous heroine or personality and, using clues, had to guess who was depicted on the card. Vasilisa Caraseni conducted an engaging quiz about the holiday, allowing participants to check what they had learned during the event. Olga Cambur concluded the intellectual program with the “True or False” quiz, where participants had to determine whether certain facts were true or fictional.

The event ended in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with students exchanging kind wishes. This celebration became not only an opportunity to mark an important date but also a chance to learn more about history, outstanding women of the world, and—most importantly—about each other.
