Teaching Practice Monitoring in the AN-23 Group of the Department of Foreign Languages at Comrat State University

From March 2 to April 11, 2026, students from the AN-23 group of the Department of Foreign Languages at Comrat State University, majoring in English and German Language and Literature, completed their active teaching practice in English at pre-university educational institutions in Gagauzia, namely at Cara-Cioban Comrat Lyceum, N. Tretyakov Comrat Lyceum, and other educational institutions in the students’ residence places (Vulcanești, Copceac, and Dimitrovca).

On behalf of the university, the practice was supervised by Prascovia Nicolaeva, the university assistant in the Department of Foreign Languages, M.A. in Germanic Philology. The supervision of the pre-university educational institutions was provided by Yulia Denisovna Todoroglo and Natalia Dmitrievna Tsurсan.

The internship lasted six weeks. The first two weeks of the internship were spent passively observing English teachers delivering lessons. Over the next four weeks, the students taught their own lessons. During their internship, they had the opportunity to work with elementary school pupils (grades 2, 3, and 4) and high school pupils (grades 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9), demonstrating creativity and utilizing modern technology, technical aids, and a variety of additional materials.

By the end of their internship, the interns felt confident in their roles as English teachers, skillfully using various teaching methods and stimulating all students to work in groups, pairs, and individually, offering various work schedules. It was during this period (the final two weeks) that the AN-23 group’s internship was monitored. Report lessons were held in grades 3, 5, 6, and 7, as well as an extracurricular activity in grade 8. The lessons were held in a warm, emotional atmosphere, making parting difficult for both the pupils and the future teachers.

We thank our English language teachers for their methodological assistance and support.
