Summary of Section 4: "Germanic and Slavic Philology: Issues in Linguistics, Language Pedagogy, and Literary Studies"

On April 23, 2026, within the framework of the International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of Education in Training Competitive Specialists. Student Research–2026”, a section entitled “Germanic and Slavic Philology” was held, dedicated to актуal issues in linguistics, language teaching methodology, and literary studies.

The section was moderated by university assistant, Master’s degree holder Nikolaeva Prascovia, and student of the Department of Foreign Languages (group AN-24) Deli Afina.

Students from Comrat State University, Baku Slavic University (Azerbaijan), Gulistan State University (Uzbekistan), Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University (Ukraine), as well as Mihail Ciachir College took part in the section.

The topics of the presentations covered a wide range of research areas. In the field of Germanic philology, issues of morphology and lexicology were discussed. Considerable attention was given to modern methods of teaching foreign languages, including the use of authentic materials, online learning, and the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on language skills development.

Particular interest was aroused by studies devoted to the influence of social media on language learning, as well as the role of language in shaping cultural identity.

Within the framework of Slavic philology, participants presented reports on literary studies and translation theory. Issues of literary translation, methods of teaching Russian language and literature, and the analysis of classical literary works were examined, including works by Alexander Pușchin, Mihail Lermontov, and Mihail Bulgakov.

As part of the conference, a competition for the best presentation was held. According to the results, the winners were:

Deli Afina (English and German Languages and Literature, group AN-24),
Popa Svetlana (Russian and English Languages and Literature, group RA-24),
Budak Victoria (3rd-year student, Mihail Ciachir College)

The international nature of the section contributed to an active exchange of scientific ideas and experience, the expansion of academic contacts, and the development of intercultural dialogue. Participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, relevance of chosen topics, and strong interest in further academic development.
