On May 11, 2023, a national student scientific and practical conference entitled "Germanic Philology: Topical Issues of Theory and Practice" was held at the Department of Foreign Languages of CSU. The conference was held offline. Students of the 1st cycle and the 2nd cycle from the Philology Departments have participated in its work. The conference was held under the motto “Burn yourself, light others!” The conference aims were:
- to encourage students to share the accumulated theoretical and practical knowledge;
- to present the results of research relevant to the conference topic;
- to share insights, experiences, and innovative ideas;
- to initiate scientific discussions;
- to encourage and promote students’ scientific research activities;
- to present ideas, reflected in thesis, projects and other students’ works.
In the scientific community, a conference is one of the most effective ways of communication. It allows you to summarize the accumulated experience on the topic of interest, to get acquainted with new developments in this direction. There were many students who wanted to participate.
The conference covered the following topical areas: Linguistics and Linguodidactics, Translation Studies, Literature Studies, Country Studies, History and Culture. Students wrote articles under the guidance of their academic advisors. Their reports were interesting, relevant, with good presentation of the material, and creative approach. All presentations were accompanied by a multimedia presentation.
The organizers and participants of the student scientific-practical conference did their best in their work. Thanks to this fact the event was held at a high level, it was informative and very interesting. All speakers were awarded certificates of participation.
