On September 24, 2025 students of the Foreign Languages Department of Comrat State University had a wonderful opportunity to attend a lecture by Inga Milevič, a lecturer at Albert College (Latvia), who arrived in Moldova as a part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for teaching programme.
The lecture was opened with a welcoming speech by Oxana Curteva, Dean of the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University, after which Inga Milevič began her lecture delivering her presentation.
During the meeting, the lecturer discussed presentation creation and public speaking, explained how to structure a presentation correctly, and what techniques help retain audience attention. She demonstrated slide examples, highlighted what attracts audience attention and what should be avoided, and shared modern digital tools and websites for creating interactive and visually appealing presentations. Through this, the students were able to observe how professionals format and present information, learn about modern approaches to presentation preparation, public speaking techniques, and the use of digital tools for interactive slides. The lecture's central theme was that a presentation should be logical, clear, and engaging, ensuring that the information reaches the audience and retains their attention throughout the presentation.
In the final part of the lecture, the instructor summarized the key points and provided recommendations for practical application of the acquired knowledge. The students found the lecture useful, engaging, and inspiring: it helped them better understand how to structure their own presentations, engage audiences, and create high-quality visuals. The lecture concluded with a thank-you to the audience for their attention and active participation, leaving the students with a positive impression and motivation to develop their public speaking skills.
