On May 11, 2026, a presentation of the scientific publication “From the ‘Statute on the Formation of the Bessarabian Region’ to the ‘Supremely Approved Institution for the Administration of the Bessarabian Region’: The Logic of Imperial Centralization (1818–1828)” took place in the reading hall of the Scientific Library of Comrat State University.

The authors of the study — Doctor of Law, lecturer of the Department of Public Law at CSU, senior researcher Vadim SUKHOV, and Scientific Secretary of the M.V. Marunevici Research Center of Gagauzia Vitaliy BOYKOV — shared the history of the book’s creation and spoke about the specifics of the work on the publication. The monograph is based on an in-depth analysis of archival documents revealing the processes of administrative and legal integration of the region during the first third of the 19th century.

The publication is of particular value for students studying history and constitutional law of the Republic of Moldova while preparing course papers and graduation theses.

Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations L. Fedotova thanked the authors for their significant contribution to the study of the history of Bessarabia from a legal perspective. She noted the relevance and high academic value of the research and wished the authors further success in their scientific activities.

The event was attended by students of the Faculty of Law, lecturers, museum and library staff, employees of the M.V. Marunevici Research Center, and members of the public.

At the end of the meeting, the authors donated five copies of the publication to the Scientific Library of CSU, expressing hope that the book would become a valuable resource for future research.
