On 8 September 2026, the Scientific Library was visited by Dr Güllü Karanfil, a lecturer at the Department of Gagauz Philology and History. She presented the international project “Experience of a Sociocultural Model for Preserving the Gagauz Language and Culture: Transforming Harmonious Multilingualism into an Advantage for the Gagauz” (2025–2026), supported by TÜBİTAK and ANCD. Comrat State University, two Turkish universities — Maltepe and Trakya — as well as schools and local authorities of Gagauzia take part in the project.

As part of this work, the collective volume “Qualitative Methodology and Participatory Action Research” by Belma Akşit and Gökçesu Akşit Dudaklı was prepared and published, with Güllü Karanfil serving as the responsible editor. The book was issued in 500 copies, 30 of which were donated to the University Library.

The new publication will be a valuable practical guide for students of all programmes studying research methods in the social sciences.
