On 29 October 2026, within the framework of the Training Platform for University and Specialized Libraries, the webinar "National Capacity Hubs for Diamond Open Access: European Opportunities for Libraries of the Republic of Moldova" took place.

The event, organized on the Training Platform for University and Specialized Libraries, was attended by 68 specialists from the REM consortium, as well as university and public libraries across the country.

From Comrat State University, the Head of the Scientific Library, Ж. Гарчева, and Chief Librarian, А. Кёся, participated in the webinar.

Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager, spoke about European perspectives on the development of scholarly publishing and the experience of Ukrainian colleagues in establishing Diamond Open Access platforms. She emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation and the participation of libraries in supporting scholarly communication.

Professor, Dr. Hab. Nelly Țurcan shared her vision of creating a similar platform in Moldova to strengthen the national infrastructure for scientific publications and simplify access to research results.

The meeting was moderated by the Director of the ASEM Scientific Library, Dr. Natalia Cheradi, who provided participants with an excellent platform for professional dialogue.
