The Association of Librarians of the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the National Library of the Republic of Moldova held on October 3, 2024, the final event entitled "Library as a public cultural space" within the project "EU4Dialogue: Enhancing experience through education and culture". The results of the Summer School, which took place in Riga and Cesis (Latvia) from August 20 to 30, 2023, were reviewed. The event was transnational in nature with the participation of experts from Latvia, representing a platform for the exchange of best practices and innovative ideas on important topics for the library community, such as: organization of library space, training of librarians and users. communities, environmental projects in libraries, organization of sustainability centers, etc. The speakers included the Ambassador of Latvia to the Republic of Moldova Mr. Edgars Bondars, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova Ms. Elena Pintelei, specialists of the National Library of Latvia, participants of the Summer School from the Republic of Moldova, Azerbaijan, Georgia. The speakers emphasized the role of the library as a vibrant and dynamic environment, where interaction and cultural exchange become key areas of activity and strengths. The head of the scientific library of CSU Zhanna Garcheva presented the report "The Scientific Library of Comrat State University - a participant in the legal research project". The project has been implemented for five years by the National Library of Latvia with the financial support of the European Union and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in partnership with the National Library of the Republic of Moldova.
