On October 17, 2024, a practical session on the history of Gagauz lexicography was held at the Scientific Library of Comrat State University (CSU) as part of the course "Terminological System of the Gagauz Language." The session was conducted by Assoc. Prof., Dr. of Philological Sciences I.D. Bankova with second-year master’s students of the MPG-23 group, specializing in "Teaching the Gagauz Language and Literature" in the Department of Gagauz Philology and History. During the session, a bibliographic overview and a presentation of Gagauz language dictionaries from the library's collection were provided. The head librarian of CSU's scientific library, A.E. Chiosea, conducted the bibliographic overview and presentation with the students. The students became acquainted with the collection of local literature, as well as various types of dictionaries in the Gagauz, Romanian, Russian, and other languages. As a result of this practical session, students gained knowledge of various types of Gagauz dictionaries, terminology, orthography, and punctuation, which will serve as a scientific basis for future research and the writing of academic research papers (master's theses).
