The Rector of Comrat State University and a Lecturer of the Faculty of National Culture Visited Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University as Part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training Program

From December 9 to 13, 2024, the Rector of Comrat State University (CSU), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, and a lecturer of the Faculty of National Culture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Felicia Banu, visited Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ) in Turkey as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training program.

During the visit, CSU representatives met with NEVÜ Vice-Rectors — Prof. Dr. Adem Çatak, Prof. Dr. Bayram Deviren, and Prof. Dr. Özlem Fındık. Discussions focused on strengthening relations under the existing cooperation protocol and Erasmus+ agreement between the universities. Topics included the implementation of joint degree programs, deepening academic and cultural collaboration, and increasing student and faculty mobility.

A meeting was also held with NEVÜ’s Department of Turkish Folklore to discuss potential projects and collaborations between the department and Comrat State University. Additionally, CSU representatives met with NEVÜ’s Quality Assurance staff to learn about their quality assurance system and to exchange experiences between Moldovan and Turkish accreditation and certification agencies.

During the visit, a tour of NEVÜ’s main campus academic and administrative units was organized, providing an opportunity to explore the university’s infrastructure, educational activities, and institutional quality assurance processes. The delegation also visited the "Kapadokya Yaşayan Miras Müzesi" (Living Heritage Museum of Cappadocia), where they had the chance to learn about the historical and cultural richness of the region.

Comrat State University expresses its confidence that the cooperation protocol and Erasmus+ agreements, implemented with NEVÜ since 2021, will continue to strengthen and develop through such visits. We hope this partnership will make a valuable contribution to the development of higher education systems in both countries. We thank NEVÜ’s administration and all staff for their warm welcome and exceptional hospitality.
