Comrat State University Strengthens International Cooperation through Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility at the University of Coimbra

During the period from 2 to 6 March 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching programme, Professor of Comrat State University (Republic of Moldova) Alla Levitskaia carried out an academic visit to the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC), Portugal, one of Europe’s most historic and prestigious universities and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

During the mobility period, Professor Levitskaia delivered a series of lectures for students on Ethics in Organizations, Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Tourism Development. The lectures incorporated interactive teaching methods, international case studies, and comparative analysis of tourism practices, encouraging students to explore global approaches to sustainability and responsible management in the tourism sector.

The visit provided an important platform for academic exchange and knowledge transfer, allowing the sharing of innovative pedagogical practices and strengthening dialogue on contemporary challenges in sustainable tourism and responsible business practices.

Professor Levitskaia expressed her sincere gratitude to the University of Coimbra for the warm welcome and excellent organisation of the mobility programme. Special appreciation is extended to the International Relations Office - Carla Inês Martins and Raquel Sampaio - for their professional support and coordination throughout the visit. Sincere thanks are also addressed to Dr. Maria João Silvestre for the valuable academic collaboration and hospitality.

Participation in the Erasmus+ mobility programme contributed to expanding international academic cooperation, promoting the exchange of educational practices, and strengthening partnerships between the two universities. The experience gained will support the further internationalisation of teaching and research activities at Comrat State University, including the integration of international case studies into curricula, the development of collaborative educational initiatives, and the expansion of academic networks within the European Higher Education Area.
