CSU Student Completed Academic Mobility at Opole University of Technology (Poland) within the Erasmus+ Programme

From October 2025 to February 2026, Alexander Bucur, a student of the Faculty of Economics at Comrat State University, Department of Economics, study programme “Hotel Services, Tourism and Leisure”, studied at the Opole University of Technology (Poland) within the framework of the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies programme.

During the mobility period, the student studied at the Faculty of Economics and Management, where he took courses in the field of economics and actively participated in the academic life of the host university. According to Alexander Bucur, participation in the Erasmus+ programme became an important and valuable experience for him. The educational process was organised at a high level, and the professors demonstrated professionalism, openness and readiness to support international students. This contributed to the creation of a favourable academic environment and successful adaptation to studying in an international classroom.

The studies were conducted in English, which allowed the student to significantly improve his level of English proficiency and gain experience in studying and professional communication in an international academic environment. During the studies, Alexander also had the opportunity to meet students from different countries — Türkiye, Spain, Portugal and Ukraine — which contributed to the development of intercultural communication and international interaction.

Throughout the mobility, the student not only expanded his academic knowledge in the field of economics and management, but also acquired a number of important skills, including development of intercultural competences and international communication skills; improvement of English language proficiency and acquaintance with the Polish language; development of independence, adaptability and self-confidence; experience of studying in an international educational environment.

In addition to academic activities, the Erasmus+ programme also provided an opportunity to explore the culture and history of Poland. Alexander visited cities such as Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and Katowice, and noted the unique atmosphere and beauty of the cities of Opole and Wroclaw.

Summarising his experience, Alexander Bucur emphasised that participation in the Erasmus+ programme became an important stage in his personal and professional development. It allowed him to broaden his horizons, discover new cultures and strengthen his motivation for further development in the international academic environment.

Comrat State University continues to actively develop international cooperation and supports students’ participation in academic mobility programmes. Participation in the Erasmus+ programme provides students with unique opportunities to gain international educational experience, develop professional and language skills, and acquire competencies necessary for a successful career in the modern global world.
