A Year of "Green Energy" at CSU

Exactly one year ago, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland under the "Polish Aid" program, a solar power station with a total cost of 16,500 euros was installed in the new building of Comrat State University. The university's own contribution was 1,500 euros. Thus, the total budget amounted to 18,000 euros. During its first year of operation, the solar panels generated 36,000 kWh of electricity, allowing the university to save approximately 153,720 MDL on electricity bills, making the project's payback period 2.4 years. For CSU, this is not just modern infrastructure, but real savings in budget funds and important support for the financial sustainability of the university. The saved funds are directed toward salaries, the educational process, infrastructure maintenance, and university development. The project is significant not only for CSU, but for the entire region - it is a practical example of implementing green technologies, energy efficiency, and environmentally responsible development. This is already the third infrastructure project implemented by the Polish Embassy within our university, totaling 810,000 MDL (40,218 euros). We express our gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Chisinau and personally to Ambassador Mr. Tomasz Kobzdej for the support and contribution to the sustainable development of Comrat State University!
