With the support of the Government of the Republic of Poland, the Polska Pomoc Foundation, and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Comrat State University (CSU) has launched the implementation of the project “Solar Energy: Sustainable Campus” within the Polish Aid program.
The project aims to increase energy efficiency and introduce renewable energy sources into the university’s infrastructure.
As part of this initiative, a 30 kW solar power plant will be installed on the CSU campus, providing partial energy supply to academic buildings and reducing the university’s carbon footprint.
The total project budget amounts to €15,000, funded by the Republic of Poland, with an additional contribution of €1,500 from CSU.
In addition to the installation of equipment, the project includes the development of design documentation, obtaining technical permits, and conducting informational and educational activities to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle and sustainable development among students and the local community.
This initiative represents an important step towards creating an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly campus and strengthening international cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Poland, contributing to the development of sustainable energy in our country and the ATU Gagauzia region, and enabling CSU to implement approaches for adapting and developing alternative energy sources.
