The Comrat State University is actively advancing the implementation of a scientific project for young researchers — Lactanox

In 2024, the Comrat State University is conducting a scientific project aimed at supporting young scientists — Lactanox, which focuses on studying the production of a probiotic dairy product with high antioxidant properties. Young scientists Assoc. Prof., PhD Iulia Neicovcena and Lect., PhD Mahamat, are making significant contributions to the project’s research activities. The project is coordinated by Lect., PhD Anatoli Cartașev. Antioxidant-rich products play an important role in protecting the body from oxidative stress, which causes cellular damage and contributes to aging and the development of various diseases, including cardiovascular and oncological diseases. One of the key areas of focus is working with lactic acid bacteria, assessing their effectiveness in ensuring food safety and stability, as well as investigating honey. To achieve the project’s objectives, equipment and reagents were purchased in 2024 for ongoing research. The new instruments allow for a deep biochemical process analysis and improve research precision, significantly enhancing our scientists' capabilities. University researchers and students actively participate in the project, providing them with a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in practice, gain new insights, and stay at the forefront of modern biotechnological research. Through this project, young scientists have the opportunity not only to deepen their knowledge of the probiotic and antioxidant properties of products but also to develop skills in working with modern equipment and methodologies.
