Activity of Section 5.1. Educational Sciences: Current Approaches and Innovative Practices

Within the framework of the International Scientific Conference “Science. Education. Culture”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the founding of Comrat State University, held on February 12, 2026, the sessions of Section 5.1. Educational Sciences: Current Approaches and Innovative Practices took place. The scientific event was organized in a mixed format (offline/online).

The high level of interest in participation — 64 articles, 78 authors/co-authors, more than 40 participants, and 17 presentations delivered during the section — demonstrates strong motivation among university professors, renowned researchers, and teaching staff from several countries, including Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Italy, Romania, and Turkey, as well as doctoral students and early-career educators.

During the section program, participants addressed a wide range of topics with openness and professional courage, including:

  • Pedagogical foundations and competency frameworks for STEAM education enhanced by artificial intelligence;
  • Education, culture and responsibility: current pedagogical approaches and educational practices in the age of complexity;
  • The potential of the family within the context of intersectoral educational partnership focused on ensuring child well-being;
  • Research methodology in developing students’ relational competences in the process of teaching and learning foreign languages;
  • Conceptual and methodological benchmarks regarding the theoretical training of 10th–12th grade students in sports-profile high schools, etc.

The section was moderated by Maria Ianioglo, PhD, Associate Professor, Comrat State University; Valentina Botnari, PhD, Associate Professor, “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chișinău; and Maria Vlah, Master of Educational Sciences, University Assistant, Comrat State University.

For many years, the partnership of CSU with institutions and professors from different regions of the world has resulted in original approaches to psycho-pedagogical issues, applicable in various contexts for multiple educational stakeholders. The universal human values promoted — including respect, empathy, tolerance, intercultural competence, openness to diversity, peace, and equal opportunities — motivated participants to inspire the audience toward reflection and long-term innovative action.

Proposals for continuing inter-university and inter-institutional cooperation through the internationalization of study programs, academic mobility, student and staff exchanges, as well as joint participation in scientific and cultural events were reflected in most of the speeches. The constant efforts of the organizers of the anniversary International Conference — CSU at 35 years — were highly appreciated.
