Results of the “Foreign Languages” Section

On February 12, 2026, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Science. Education. Culture,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Comrat State University, the “Foreign Languages” section was held in a mixed format – with both in-person and дистанционный participation. This format made it possible to involve representatives of the academic community from Romania, Italy, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Moldova, thus contributing to the expansion of international cooperation.

The section was moderated by Tatiana Sandu, Doctor, Associate Professor, and Alexei Chirdeachin, Doctor, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages of CSU. They ensured the organization of the session, coordinated the presentations, and moderated the scientific discussion, which created a constructive and productive atmosphere.

During the session, research papers addressing current issues in foreign language teaching and learning were presented, including:

  • “Some Word-Building Questions of Industrial Nominations” (Isakova Alla, PhD, Associate Professor, Industrial University of Tyumen, Russia);
  • “Multimodality and Multimedia in a Foreign Language: A Case Study” (Meola Carmina, Professor, PhD, UNISANNIO, University of Sannio, Italy);
  • “The Mediation Functions in the Evolving Nature of Teaching and Language Learning” (Necula Gina Aurora, PhD, Associate Professor, Institutul Limbii Române din București, Romania / Lecturer of Romanian Language, Culture and Civilization at Comrat State University, Moldova);
  • “Teachers’ Perspectives on Translanguaging in English Language Teaching” (Pintilii Alina, PhD, University Lecturer, “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” State University of Cahul, Moldova);
  • “Developing University Students' Communicative Skills Through English Phraseological Units” (Nicolaeva Prascovia, University Assistant, Comrat State University, Moldova);
  • “Lexical and Grammatical Potential of Adapted Texts in the Author’s Manual on Russian as a Foreign Language” (Balaeva Raziya, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan).

The section was characterized by active scientific dialogue. Participants exchanged professional experience, discussed practical and methodological aspects of foreign language teaching, and shared modern approaches and innovative practices in linguistic education.

The work of the section played an important role in strengthening international cooperation among researchers and educators, expanding academic contacts, and opening prospects for further joint research, projects, and publications in the field of foreign languages and their teaching methodology.
