On October 28, 2025, a meeting was held between the wrestling team of Comrat State University (CSU) and the Rector of the university, Assoc., prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia.
The main topic of discussion was the readiness and training level of student-athletes for participation in the National Universiade in traditional wrestling Trânta, scheduled for October 30, 2025, in Chișinău.
Organizational matters regarding the team’s participation were discussed — particularly transportation arrangements to and from Chișinău and the possibility of covering travel expenses for CSU’s wrestling team.
The preparation and representation of the team were coordinated by Angela Polevaia-Secăreanu, International Master of Sports, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, and team leader.

The Dean of the Faculty of National Culture, Assoc., prof. PhD Oxana Curteva , also took part in the team’s preparation, offering support to the students and assisting in the organization of their participation in the national competition.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Serghei Zaharia wished the student-athletes success and confidence in their abilities at the upcoming competition, emphasizing that participation in the Universiade is not only an opportunity to demonstrate athletic excellence but also to honorably represent the university at the national level.
The coordinated efforts of the university leadership, faculties, and sports departments contribute to building a strong student team, promoting national traditions, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among youth.
