From June 2 to June 24, 2026, third-year students of M. Ciachir College, specializing in Library Science and Information Services (Biblioteconomie și asistență informațională), completed their internship at the Scientific Library of Comrat State University. The internship supervisor was N.F. Garchu, Chief Bibliographer.

The purpose of the internship was to provide students with practical skills and experience in library and bibliographic services, the development of local history documentary collections, and the organization of the library’s reference and bibliographic apparatus.

During the internship, the students acquired practical skills in the main areas of library and bibliographic work:

* provision of core library services using information technologies, including work with search systems and the delivery of information services through Internet access and databases;

* preparation and provision of bibliographic products developed in Microsoft Word format (bibliographic indexes);

* bibliographic activities using information technologies, including the creation of electronic databases through the MARC SQL library automation system;

* preparation of reports and bibliographic products using electronic catalog tools (acts, lists of new acquisitions, and a bibliographic list of the works of S.S. Kuroglo).

Overall, the group successfully completed all internship tasks, and all internship objectives were achieved. The students demonstrated a strong interest in practical assignments that required both theoretical knowledge and a creative approach. Such tasks contribute to a deeper understanding of the main areas of library activity, better comprehension of theoretical material, and the development of students’ creative potential.
