Staff and students of Comrat State University took part in the International Scientific-Practical Conference "The Unbreakable Thread of Time: Connection of Centuries and Museum Heritage." The event was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the National Gagauz Historical-Ethnographic Museum named after Dmitry Kara Choban.
The National Museum in the village of Beșalma, inaugurated on 16 September 1966, became the world's first museum fully devoted to the history, culture and traditions of the Gagauz people. Its founder was the distinguished poet, artist, director and sculptor Dmitry Nikolaevich Kara Choban. Today the museum is a unique centre for the preservation and promotion of Gagauz cultural heritage. His daughter, Ludmila Marin, has carried on her father's work and serves as the keeper of the museum's traditions.

- P. Vicol — Director of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History (Chișinău)
- L. Marin — Director of the National Gagauz Historical-Ethnographic Museum named after D. Kara Choban
During the plenary sessions, directors of leading museums from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Gagauzia delivered reports and vivid presentations.
Comrat State University was represented at the international forum by Pyotr Mikhailovich Pashaly, Doctor of History and lecturer at the Department of Gagauz Philology and History of the Faculty of National Culture.
He presented a scholarly report entitled "Gӧçmennerin kulturasından - TÜRKSOY kulturasına", which generated keen interest among colleagues and conference participants.
Participation in events of this scale underscores the important role of Comrat State University in researching, preserving and promoting the cultural and historical heritage of the region on the international stage.
