On November 15, 2024, Vitalii Sirf, Doctor of Philology, ethnographer, senior researcher of the Ethnology Sector of the Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, senior researcher of the M. Marunevich Scientific Research Center of Gagauzia, and professor at the Department of Gagauz Philology and History of the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University (CSU), celebrates his 60th anniversary. Dr. Vitalii Sirf is the author of the monograph "The Gagauz Fairy Tale", numerous scientific publications on oral folk art, Gagauz folklore, philology, ethnography, cultural studies, bulgaristics, and the editor of collections of Gagauz fairy tales, books about M. Chakir, and other works, as well as editor of many scientific monographs. The M. Marunevich Scientific Research Center of Gagauzia has published a new volume in the series "Gagauz Studies of the 19th–21st Centuries", "Todur Angheli", in which the scholar, together with renowned philologist, Gagauzologist, writer, publicist, and translator Petr Chebotar, is a co-author and editor. Dr. Vitalii Sirf has enriched the publication list with an extensive bibliography of works by Dr. Fedor Angheli  and literature about him, comprising over 550 sources. For his significant contribution to the study of Gagauzology and strengthening interethnic relations, Dr. Vitalii Sirf has been awarded Honorary Diplomas from the Governor of Gagauzia, the People's Assembly of Gagauzia, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova, and other institutions. He actively participates in national and international conferences, pedagogical readings, symposiums, professional courses, and internships. A personal exhibition of Dr. Vitalii  Sirf's works has been organized at the university's scientific library, open to all interested.
