On the eve of March 8, a round table was held at the Comrat Regional Historical and Local History Museum, bringing together prominent women of Gagauzia. The event was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the continuity of generations and the unique contribution of women to the development of our region.

Participants — representatives from the fields of culture, education, science, and business in Gagauzia — have been creating and inspiring for decades. Their life paths are stories of success built on dedication and love for their homeland. In today’s world, the role of women has long gone beyond traditional stereotypes: they make strategic decisions, develop the economy, and preserve traditions, while remaining sources of wisdom and warmth. Interesting reports and presentations were shared on the role of women in politics, art, history, and culture.

Janna Garceva, Head of the Scientific Library of CSU, presented a report titled “Myths and Reality about Librarians and Libraries.”

This event once again proved that women are the keepers not only of the family hearth but also of the cultural code of our people. Such gatherings remind us that the history of Gagauzia is written in women’s names. May this spring holiday be a recognition of their achievements and an inspiration for new accomplishments for the benefit of society.
