Today, the first organisational meeting of the Commission on Ethics and Professional Deontology of Comrat State University was held.

The establishment of the Commission marked the next important step following the University Senate’s approval of the Code of Ethics and Professional Deontology, which defines the fundamental principles of professional conduct, respect, responsibility and academic culture within the university community.

During the organisational meeting, the members of the Commission elected its chair, deputy chair and secretary.

The work of the Commission is particularly important for fostering a healthy and respectful atmosphere at the University for students, teaching staff, administrative personnel and other employees. Its mission is to promote compliance with ethical standards, prevent conflict situations and strengthen mutual respect, fairness and trust.

A university is not only about knowledge and professional training. It is a space where a person’s culture, responsibility to society and respect for others are formed. Ethics and professional deontology should therefore not only be set out in the Code, but should also become part of everyday university life.

The establishment and commencement of the Commission’s work is an important step towards further strengthening the academic culture and professional values of Comrat State University.
