
On 16 June 2026, Dr., Assoc. Prof. and Head of the Department of Economics at Comrat State University Svetlana CURAXINA, dr. hab., prof. Alla LEVITSKAIA and Dr., Assoc. Prof. Nadejda IANIOGLO participated in the ceremonial conference “10 YEARS OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN GAGAUZIA: ACHIEVEMENTS, PARTNERSHIP, PROSPECTS”.
The event was organised by the Regional Development Agency of ATU Gagauzia under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova. The conference brought together representatives of public authorities, experts and regional development partners. During the event, the results of the Agency’s ten years of activity were presented, implemented infrastructure projects were reviewed, and current challenges, prospects for the region’s development and opportunities for further cooperation were discussed.
During the conference, dr. hab., prof. Alla LEVITSKAIA delivered a presentation entitled “Soft Infrastructure for Regional Development: Knowledge, Competencies and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems”. In her presentation, the professor highlighted the role of knowledge, professional competencies and entrepreneurial ecosystems in creating favourable conditions for the region’s sustainable socioeconomic development.
The participation of the Department of Economics faculty members in the conference marked a continuation of cooperation between Comrat State University and the Regional Development Agency of ATU Gagauzia, aimed at combining scientific and practical potential in the interests of the region’s development.
