On 24 September 2026, Comrat State University was visited by an international group of students as part of a familiarisation visit to the Republic of Moldova.

The group included 16 students from the University of Düsseldorf (Germany), from the Department of Eastern European History and Political Economy, as well as 6 students from Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine).

A meeting was held at the university with representatives of the administration and the academic staff of CSU. The guests learned about the history and contemporary development of the university, its educational programmes, international cooperation, and the distinctive features of the academic process.

Participants showed particular interest in information about Comrat State University as a leading higher education institution in the south of the Republic of Moldova, its role in training specialists for the region, as well as the distinctive features of the cultural and social landscape of Gagauzia.

During the meeting, the students had the opportunity to ask questions, exchange views, and learn more about opportunities for international academic cooperation. A familiarisation tour of the university was also organised for the guests, during which they visited the teaching and specialised facilities of CSU.

The visit took place with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Representation in the Republic of Moldova.

Such meetings contribute to the expansion of Comrat State University’s international ties, the strengthening of academic contacts with foreign partners, and the creation of new opportunities for future cooperation.
