On August 30, 2025, an important meeting took place at Comrat State University between the Rector of CSU, Assoc., prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia, and Member of the European Parliament Eugen Tomac.
The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of prospects for the further development of the university in the context of European integration. The parties addressed a number of key issues, including:
-implementation of new educational and scientific projects;
-expansion of cooperation with European structures;
-strengthening of the university’s infrastructural and methodological base;
-creation of favorable conditions for learning the Romanian language in ATU Gagauzia, mun. Comrat.
The meeting was also attended by CSU Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations, Assoc., prof. PhD Svetlana Ghenova and Head of the Romanian Language Lectorship, Assoc., prof. PhD Gina Aurora Necula. Their contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation between CSU and Romania was especially noted.
The discussions, held in a constructive and productive atmosphere, opened new perspectives for both students and academic staff. Among the main directions outlined were the expansion of academic mobility, participation in joint scientific research, and the development of bilateral educational programs.
This meeting represented another step towards strengthening the ties of Comrat State University with Romania — a member state of the European Union. Such cooperation opens new horizons for the modernization of the educational process, the improvement of specialist training quality, and the enhancement of CSU’s international reputation.
