
On September 1, 2025, Comrat State University held the festive ceremony marking the opening of the new academic year. The event brought together students, professors, alumni, and distinguished guests of the university, underlining the importance of education and the mission of CSU in training a new generation of specialists. With welcoming remarks and congratulations, addresses were delivered by the Rector of CSU, Dr., Assoc. Prof. Zaharia Serghei., representatives of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished guests and partners of the university:
-Her Excellency Mrs. Maia Dobreva, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Moldova;
-His Excellency Mr. Nikolaos Krikos, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Moldova;
-Mr. Adnan Hayal, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Comrat;
-Academician, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Hristo Beloev, Honorary Rector of “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse and Chairman of the Municipal Council of Ruse (Republic of Bulgaria);
-Assoc. Prof., PhD Desislava Stoyanova-Atanasova, Rector of “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse (Republic of Bulgaria);

The speeches of the distinguished guests were filled with warm words of encouragement and wishes for the students’ success in their studies, openness to new knowledge, active participation in student life, and professional growth. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations emphasized the importance of the university’s role in strengthening international cooperation, cultural ties, and educational exchange.
