The meeting was provided for by letter No. 07/303/26 of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova dated 15 September 2026, addressed to local education authorities, Comrat State University and educational institutions of Gagauzia.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format with students. The focus was on issues related to the European Union, its legal system and the process of European integration of the Republic of Moldova. Particular attention was paid to the concept of acquis communautaire — the body of EU law in force, which includes treaties, regulations, directives, decisions and other EU legal acts.
The interactive format of the session allowed students not only to receive information but also to actively participate in the discussion. During the event, questions and quiz elements were used, encouraging students to test and expand their knowledge of the European Union. In particular, participants discussed the scale of EU legislation, its structure and the importance of the process of adapting national legislation to European legal norms.
For law students, this topic is of particular importance. The process of European integration is directly linked to the development of the national legal system, the harmonisation of the legislation of the Republic of Moldova with EU law and the formation, among future lawyers, of an understanding of European legal standards.
The lively format of communication, students' questions and the use of visual materials contributed to creating a working yet informal atmosphere. Participants had the opportunity to discuss aspects of European integration of interest to them and to directly ask questions related to European Union law.
Holding such events at Comrat State University contributes to broadening students' knowledge of European institutions and EU legal mechanisms, as well as to forming a deeper understanding of the processes linked to the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
