RESULTS OF SECTION 2 “CURRENT ISSUES AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GENERAL EDUCATION SYSTEM”

of the Student Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of Education in Training Competitive Specialists. Student Research–2026”

On April 23, 2026, Comrat State University hosted the Student Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “The Role of Education in Training Competitive Specialists. Student Research–2026,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the university.

Within the framework of the event, particular importance was given to the work of Section 2 “Current Issues and Prospects for the Development of the General Education System,” where students of the first and second cycles presented the results of their own scientific research—from their first academic steps to more in-depth analytical work.

The section was coordinated by moderators Liudmila Chior, Doctor, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, and V. Choban, student of group MOM-24.

Section 2 became a platform for the exchange of experience among students from different countries. The geography of participants included not only educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova but also universities from both near and far abroad (Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, etc.), which gave the discussions a truly international character.

During the work of Section 2, participants presented and discussed a wide range of student research. The topics of the reports included:
• the consultative activity of a primary school teacher within the “teacher–parent” system;
• the influence of sports practices, in particular Brazilian jiu-jitsu, on children’s cognitive functions;
• the language of social networks as a reflection of modern culture;
• the use of digital technologies in primary school and the related opportunities and risks;
• gamification in education as a tool for motivation and student engagement;
• the educational environment as a means of socialization of children with special educational needs;
• the formation of cognitive interest in primary school students through digital content and author-developed didactic materials;
• issues of a safe school environment and practical approaches to its assessment, etc.

The wide geography of participants and the diversity of research topics confirmed the relevance of the conference and its practical orientation.

At the end of the section, in a ceremonial atmosphere, students whose research received the highest recognition from the expert jury were awarded:
• Daniil Furdui (Moldova State University, 1st cycle) — “The Influence of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on Children’s Cognitive Functions: An Interdisciplinary Approach.” Scientific supervisor: Angela Polevaia-Secăreanu, Doctor, Associate Professor, CSU;
• Anastasia Uzun (M. Chakir Pedagogical College, Comrat) — “Formation of Cognitive Interest in Primary School Students through Digital Content and Author’s Didactic Materials.” Scientific supervisor: O.V. Zhelezova, teacher of specialized methods;
• Maria Cheban (Comrat State University, 1st cycle) — “Safe School Environment: From Theory to Practice of Assessment.” Scientific supervisor: Liudmila Ibrișim, Doctor, lecturer at CSU.

The discussion showed that student research is characterized by interdisciplinarity, relevance, and practical orientation. The geography of participants emphasized the international nature of the conference, while the participation of first- and second-cycle students ensured the continuity of scientific traditions.

Thus, the conference demonstrated that student research is becoming an important resource for the modernization of education and strengthening the university’s position in the international scientific arena. The anniversary nature of the event emphasized the continuity of traditions and the university’s commitment to developing innovative approaches in training competitive specialists.
