The "Ion Creanga" State Pedagogical University of Chisinau, through the Faculty of Geography, has the honor to announce the 7th edition of the National Scientific Conference with International Participation "Environment and Sustainable Development", which will take place on October 16-17, 2026, in Chisinau.
The conference aims to provide an academic framework for dialogue, reflection, and the exchange of best practices for academic staff, researchers, PhD students, specialists, and practitioners from the Republic of Moldova and abroad, concerned with the interactions between environment, society, and territory, as well as identifying solutions for sustainable development.

Indicative program:

October 16, 2026: plenary session, ceremony for awarding the Doctor Honoris Causa title to Prof. Ing. Josef Soukup, CSc. (CZU), scientific communication sessions by sections, and a workshop organized within the ReBrain project "MERCI-MC".

October 17, 2026: field application on the Comrat - Cahul route.
Original scientific contributions, relevant to the thematic directions of the conference, are welcome. Information regarding registration, submission of abstracts and articles, formatting requirements, participation fees, and conditions for organizing the field application will be presented in Circular II.
