The State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, as the national authority for the management of cross-border, transnational and interregional programs, informs the faculty of Comrat State University (CSU) about the opening of the third call for projects within the Interreg Europe 2021-2027 program. The deadline for submitting projects is open from March 20, 2024 to June 7, 2024. The budget allocated for the third call is around 130 million euros and is intended for the implementation of interregional cooperation projects. The beneficiaries include the Member States of the European Union as well as seven new countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and Ukraine. Co-financing of project activities by the beneficiaries amounts to 20% of the project budget. Cycle III funding priorities aim at improving cooperation for better governance, covering different areas in line with the cohesion policy objectives, and are based on six pillars:
Programul Interreg Europe se desfășoară pe o perioadă de patru ani și este împărțit în două faze distincte: o fază de schimb de trei ani și o fază de implementare de un an. La program pot participa următorii beneficiari:
1.Modern Europe: promoting research, innovation and competitiveness;
- Eco Europe: increasing energy efficiency and utilization of renewable energy sources;
3.Communicative Europe: increasing sustainable mobility;
4.Social Europe: developing education, social inclusion and health systems;
5.Europe closer to citizens: promoting integrated development of urban and rural areas;
6.Improving regional governance: introducing more efficient and transparent governance policies at regional level
The Interreg Europe program will last for four years and is divided into two separate phases: a three-year exchange phase and a one-year implementation phase. The following beneficiaries can participate in the program:
- Public authorities (district council, local council, municipality, ministries, etc.);
- Public institutions (state/regional institutions, universities and educational institutions, regional development agencies, etc.);
- Non-governmental organizations (associations, unions, foundations, private universities if their legal status corresponds to that of a non-profit organization, local initiative groups, etc.).
In order to establish effective cooperation and develop the project in line with the goals and priorities of the Interreg Europe program, it is necessary to register on the community platform. Only registered participants have access to the search and communication functions with potential partners. In the context of the contribution for co-financing of project activities by the beneficiaries is 20% of the project budget, it is recommended to consider the feasibility of accessing it in the light of the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova No. 152/ 2022 on approval of the Regulation on management of financial resources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, in accordance with the fields of activity and eligibility criteria set out in the Decision
