On August 1, 2024, Comrat State University (CSU) participated in the latest online meeting of the members of the Executive Board of the Eurasian Universities Association (EURAS). The event was attended by representatives from various partner universities who discussed important issues and priority tasks for the upcoming period. The meeting was opened by the President of EURAS and EURIE, Dr. Mustafa AYDIN, who outlined the main directions and priorities of cooperation among the association's member universities for 2024-2028. Among the key tasks, important updates and initiatives were discussed, including the approval of two new platforms: the Quality for Sustainable Development Working Group (QforS) and the EURAS Student Platform (NEXTGEN). Both platforms are expected to be operational before EURIE in April 2025
- Selection of Student Representatives for the EURAS NEXTGEN Student Platform:
- EURAS partner universities must select students/graduate students by the end of September 2024.
- Selection criteria:
- One female student and one male student;
- One undergraduate student and one graduate/postgraduate student;
- Students must meet the criteria outlined in Article https://kdu.md/images/EURAS-NEXTGEN-Student-Platform-Rules-and-Regulations.docx
- Journals and Publications:
- Update on EURAS journals;
- Discussion of future publication initiatives.
- Upcoming Events and Activity Planning:
- Planning for the EURAS General Assembly in November 2024;
- Review and planning for EURIE 2025 (April 8-10, 2025).
Comrat State University actively supports these initiatives and intends to contribute to the achievement of the outlined goals. Participation in the meeting allowed CSU to strengthen ties with other member universities of the association and discuss opportunities for further cooperation in various fields. Participation in such international events plays an important role in the strategic development of the university and contributes to its integration into the global educational and scientific community.
