Results of the Summer Course on Romanian Language, Literature, and Civilization at "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași (Romania)

From July 17 to 31, 2024, the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași hosted courses on Romanian language studies, attended by 4 faculty members and 4 students from Comrat State University. On August 19, 2024, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova with the graduates of the "Romanian Language, History, and Civilization" Summer School program. One of the speakers was Associate Professor, PhD, Tatiana VELICOVA, who presented a report on the results of learning Romanian language, history, and civilization of the Romanian people. The participating faculty members shared their impressions, discussed the knowledge they acquired, and the new teaching methods they learned. The event concluded with an open discussion where faculty exchanged opinions on the challenges faced in their pedagogical practice and jointly sought solutions to these issues. Special attention was given to the need for increasing the number of courses taught in the state language in regions of the Republic of Moldova where the primary language of instruction is not the state language. The administration of Comrat State University expresses gratitude to "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași, the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova and other supporting entities for the opportunity to participate in this event and looks forward to further collaboration, including the continuation of "summer training schools" at leading universities in Romania.
