On July 31, 2025, Comrat State University hosted an official meeting between the university administration and representatives of the United States Embassy in the Republic of Moldova. The university was visited by Tamara Țurcan, Public Affairs Specialist, and Joan Crumb, Education and Culture Attaché.
The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen the partnership between CSU and the U.S. Embassy, as well as to discuss prospects for collaboration in the fields of education and culture. Key topics of the meeting included the development of joint programs, academic exchanges, and youth participation in initiatives that support education and cultural advancement.

The Rector of CSU, Assoc. Prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia, warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his gratitude for their interest and initiative. He emphasized that Comrat State University is always open to constructive dialogue, new ideas, and projects aimed at developing both the institution and the region as a whole. The Rector underlined the importance of international cooperation in modern education and expressed readiness to implement joint projects in partnership with the U.S. Embassy.

In turn, Joan Crumb, Education and Culture Attaché, thanked the CSU leadership for the warm reception and highlighted the Embassy’s interest in establishing strong and lasting connections with the university. She emphasized that the Embassy is committed not only to supporting student and faculty initiatives, but also to engaging active youth from across the region.

The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Svetlana Ghenova, Dean of the Faculty of National Culture Oxana Curteva, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Nicolaeva Prascovia, as well as staff of the CSU International Relations Center — Tucan Margarita and Sulac Irina.
