On November 10, 2025, the administration of Comrat State University, led by Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetlana Ghenova, staff of the International Relations Department, faculty members, and students, took part in a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 87th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye and the architect of its independence — Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
The event took place at the Turkish Library named after M. K. Atatürk. The honorary guest of the ceremony was the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Comrat, Ms. Eda Güç, who addressed the participants with a heartfelt speech about Atatürk’s great legacy, emphasizing his enduring role in the formation of the modern Turkish state, its ideals, and values that continue to inspire young generations. During the ceremony, the participants honored the memory of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with a moment of silence, followed by the National Anthem of the Republic of Türkiye and the laying of flowers at Atatürk’s bust as a symbol of deep gratitude and respect.
The ceremony became an expression of sincere appreciation and respect for Atatürk’s personality, as well as a symbol of lasting friendship and cultural ties between the peoples of Türkiye and Moldova.
