Interuniversity Round Table: “Human Rights and the Protection of Educational Actors in an Intercultural Environment”

On 8 December 2025, in accordance with the Operational Activity Plan of the EIC Centre and the Work Plan of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of CSU, the Centres for Didactic Resources in Intercultural Education (CRDEIC) of Comrat State University and Moldova State University organized an interuniversity round table dedicated to promoting human rights and strengthening protection mechanisms for educational actors in intercultural and inclusive educational institutions.
The event was held in a mixed format (online/offline) and brought together over 40 participants — first- and second-year students in the field of Educational Sciences from both institutions.

The aim of the event was to create a framework for academic and practical dialogue on analysing and improving protection mechanisms for educational actors — pupils, teachers, support staff and management — in intercultural and inclusive schools.

The sessions were moderated by:
• Dr., Assoc. Prof. Maria Ianioglo, CSU;
• Dr., Assoc. Prof. Ludmila Darii, MSU;
• Maria Vlah, University Assistant, CSU.

Participants discussed the conceptual and regulatory framework concerning the rights of students, teachers and parents, as well as current challenges such as bullying, discrimination, family–school relations and risks of school dropout. Students presented thematic reports that generated debates and constructive dialogue, contributing to a valuable exchange of perspectives between the partner university teams.

Student presentations included:

  • The Price of Words: The Line Between Humour and Bullying — Zaharia Diana (CSU, Year I, Gagauz and Romanian Language and Literature);
  • Bullying in the Educational Environment — Popov Laura and Pașchevici Delia (MSU, Year II, Primary Education Pedagogy and English Language);
  • The Role of Parents as Partners in Defending Children's Rights — Toma Camelia and Beșleagă Cristina (MSU, Year II, PÎPLE);
  • Music as a Universal Language: Human Rights and Intercultural Education — Sciogolev Vladimir (CSU, Year II, Music), etc.

The event concluded with an applied workshop focused on analysing case studies and identifying practical solutions for preventing bullying, discrimination and school dropout, as well as ensuring a safe and inclusive educational environment.

The entire activity took place in an atmosphere of academic cooperation, contributing to the development of professional competencies of future education specialists and to strengthening the partnership between MSU and CSU.
