Final Conference of Second Cycle Students in the Educational Program 'Theory and Methodology of Primary Education'

On January 26, based on the results of the professional internship of second-cycle higher education students – Master's level, specializing in "Theory and Methodology of Primary Education," a final conference was organized in the form of a defense.

The goal of the professional internship was to consolidate students' theoretical knowledge in general teaching theory, specific didactics, to summarize them, to implement legal and regulatory documents at the primary education level, to study and analyze the organizational and management structure of the educational institution, and to gain practical experience working in a primary school teaching team.

During the professional internship, the following tasks were accomplished:
• Apply the theoretical knowledge gained during university studies in professional activities;
• Familiarize with the institution providing primary education, its internal structure, working methods, and management styles;
• Carry out didactic design at the primary education level, for specific classes, and in methodological work;
• Develop competencies in classroom management and managing the educational environment for primary school students;
• Apply and assess the effectiveness of using traditional, interactive, and innovative didactic methods of teaching-learning-assessment in light of educational goals.

The main types of professional activity for the student interns in this specialization included: scientific research, methodological, managerial, teaching, developmental, consultative, organizational-educational, socio-pedagogical, innovative, and cultural-enlightenment.

In the conference program, students noted that they enjoyed their pedagogical practice, tried out the role of primary school teachers, learned many new things about their future profession, and were able to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills. They also discussed the problems and difficulties faced: difficulty in managing lesson time, challenges in evaluating students' answers, difficulty in applying methods of encouragement and motivation, difficulties in communicating with students' parents, etc.

At the end of the conference, the experience gained by students during the professional internship was positively evaluated. The coordinators of the professional internship and event organizers expressed confidence in the professional growth of the student-teachers and wished them success in their future academic research, studies, and professional careers.
