International Congress on Tourism, Economics and Culture 2024 (ITEC), organized in cooperation by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Sivas Cumhuriyet University (partner of Comrat State University) and the International Balkan University in Skopje, Macedonia.
During the congress, 353 researchers from 23 different countries presented their research in tourism and related fields during 32 sessions. One of the online sessions, which was attended by researchers from India, Pakistan, Romania, Portugal, and Kosovo, was moderated by Prof. Levitskaia Alla, who presented her report – “Tourism Management Model: evidence from Gagauzia autonomous region”.
During the sessions, the relationships between the sectors of culture, tourism and economics were examined and possible areas of cooperation between researchers in these areas of activity were identified. New approaches and ideas were assessed that will contribute to the development of tourism and economic relations between Turkey and the Balkan countries.
Rector of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Prof. Dr. Alim Yildiz emphasized: “I hope that the congress will contribute to the tourism academy and lead to new projects and cooperation. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizations that contributed to the congress."
