An informative session was held with the student youth at Comrat State University as part of the project "I Know Why I Vote!"

The student youth of Comrat State University participated in an informative session on September 25, 2024, as part of the project "I Know Why I Vote!". This project is funded by Sweden through the East Europe Foundation within the framework of the project "Active Citizens, Thriving Communities 2021–2025", with the support and assistance of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. The event was dedicated to issues of youth electoral literacy, the importance of participating in elections, and how every vote can contribute to improving life in our society. The founder of the Intellectual Games Association of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Evgheni Poliacov, emphasized the importance of exercising one's voting right and the significance of the youth vote. As part of the first stage of the project, students were provided with flyers containing QR codes that offered information about the elections: where and how to vote in the upcoming elections on October 20, 2024, in the Republic of Moldova, as well as a survey on youth electoral awareness. During the second stage of the project, there was a discussion about organizing an intellectual game between teams from all university faculties, where the winning team will have the opportunity to participate in the project’s final on October 11, 2024, in Chișinău, with a chance to win a cash prize of 450 euros. At the end of the session, students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest. Participation in such events helps young people not only to learn about their rights but also to actively engage in shaping the future of the country.
