On June 24, 2025, the Faculty of Economics of Comrat State University hosted an extended meeting of its Faculty Council. The meeting took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere, bringing together faculty members, department heads, and heads of scientific and innovation units.
The presence of the Rector of Comrat State University, Serghei Zaharia, along with Vice-Rectors Gheorghe Sult and Svetlana Genova, added special significance to the event. Their participation highlighted the university leadership’s commitment to the development of the faculty and the enhancement of education quality.
Opening the session, Acting Dean, Assoc. Prof., PhD, Liudmila Todorici summarized the academic year. In her speech, she addressed the outcomes of the summer examination session, state final certification, industrial internship, and commented on the results of the competition for budget-funded places and the distribution of scholarships by specialization.
Next, department heads spoke about their teams’ achievements, highlighted strengths, and outlined directions for further development. Notable presentations were delivered by the chairs of the Quality Council and the Research Council, who provided annual activity analysis, described implemented initiatives, and shared information on student and staff involvement in research projects, grants, and conferences.
An important part of the meeting included reports from the heads of the "Progress" Research Center and the Innovation Center (InnoCenter). Both centers are actively developing research and innovation at the faculty, introducing new approaches, and creating favorable conditions for the implementation of creative ideas by students and staff.
The meeting also approved updated teaching and methodological packages (curricula), which will be used in the new academic year.
In conclusion, the participants discussed current issues, exchanged opinions and suggestions. The session served not only to summarize results but also as an important step toward developing a strategy for the faculty's advancement in the upcoming academic year.
