Comrat State University Expands International Partnership with Ruse University

On September 1, 2025, Comrat State University hosted an important event — the signing of cooperation agreements with Angel Kanchev Ruse University (Republic of Bulgaria). This partnership opens new horizons for CSU’s development as a modern European university. The signed documents have strategic importance, as they create a solid foundation for joint educational and research initiatives and strengthen the university’s position in the international academic space.

Thanks to these agreements, CSU students and professors will have expanded opportunities to:

  • participate in academic mobility, study, and internships abroad;
  • take part in international research projects and scientific publications;
  • exchange experience with colleagues from Bulgaria and other European countries;
  • develop intercultural competences through direct interaction with international partners.

This cooperation is also significant for the region. It opens new perspectives for promoting Gagauzia and the Republic of Moldova on the international stage, drawing attention to CSU’s educational potential and creating conditions for training specialists demanded in the European space.

The official ceremony was attended by distinguished guests:

  • H.E. Mrs. Maya DOBREVA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Moldova;
  • H.E. Mr. Nikolaos KRIKOS, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Moldova;
  • Mr. Adnan HAYAL, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Comrat;
  • Academician, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Hristo BELOEV, Honorary Rector of Ruse University and Chairman of the Municipal Council of Ruse;
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desislava STOYANOVA-ATANASOVA, Rector of Ruse University;
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gina NECULĂ, Lecturer at the Institute of the Romanian Language (Bucharest, Romania);
  • H.E. Mr. Ioan-Gabriel SOLOMON, Consul General of Romania in Cahul;
  • Mr. Taryk METE, Coordinator of TİKA in the Republic of Moldova;
  • Mr. Serghei ANASTASOV, Mayor of Comrat Municipality;
  • Mrs. Ipek GÜMUȘCAN, representative of Suleyman Demirel University (Republic of Türkiye), PhD candidate and international relations coordinator.

For CSU students, this agreement is an opportunity to explore the world, broaden their knowledge, gain study experience in European universities, and become part of the international academic community.
