On 14 November 2025, Comrat State University welcomed a delegation from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Republic of Moldova. The meeting, attended by the Rector of CSU, Assoc., prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia focused on discussing prospects for further cooperation.
The delegation included:
- H.E. Petra Lärke — Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova;
- Mr. Hannes Bertz — Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Sweden;
- Ms. Tatiana Lungu — National Programme Officer, Embassy of Sweden;
- Ms. Mihaela Rudenko — Communications Assistant, Embassy of Sweden.
Rector Serghei Zaharia warmly welcomed the guests, expressing gratitude to the Embassy of Sweden for its attention to the university and its significant contribution to the development of educational and social initiatives in the region. He emphasized that the university is open to new formats of cooperation, including projects aimed at strengthening democracy, developing youth leadership skills, and promoting values of inclusiveness and public dialogue. In turn, Ambassador Petra Lärke highlighted the importance of engaging with the academic environment of Gagauzia and praised the university’s commitment to expanding international partnerships. She noted that the Embassy of Sweden is interested in supporting initiatives that contribute to building sustainable and peaceful communities and expanding opportunities for young people. The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation, including training sessions, seminars, student activity projects, and the expansion of academic initiatives aimed at developing the competencies of future specialists. Comrat State University expresses its gratitude to the Embassy of Sweden for the constructive dialogue and interest in joint projects, hoping for strengthened partnership relations and the implementation of new initiatives that benefit the region and the youth of Gagauzia.
