
During his official visit on November 13, 2025, the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, Hubert Knirsch, held a separate meeting with the students of Comrat State University. This meeting became a remarkable continuation of his visit and highlighted the Ambassador’s openness towards young people and the academic community of CSU.
The students showed great interest and actively participated in the dialogue. They asked questions about the higher education system in Germany, internship opportunities, academic exchanges, and the prospects of German-Moldovan cooperation. The youth were also interested in current trends in European politics, Germany’s role in the region, and ways to strengthen cultural interaction.
Ambassador Hubert Knirsch willingly answered the questions, providing detailed information about German educational programs, support for youth initiatives, and the importance of intercultural communication. He also asked the students several questions, showing interest in their expectations, professional plans, and views on the development of Gagauzia. This dynamic exchange of opinions turned the meeting into a lively and meaningful conversation with active participation from students of various faculties.
The Ambassador paid special attention to the role of youth as a key force capable of shaping the future of the region. He emphasized that such meetings help better understand the interests and needs of the new generation and open new opportunities for cooperation in education, culture, and innovation.
The Rector of CSU, Assoc., prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his open and direct dialogue with the students, noting that such meetings inspire young people and motivate them to engage in international projects.
