
From 27 to 29 November 2025, Comrat State University hosted the conference “Languages, Literature and Linguistics”, organized by the Cross-Border Faculty of “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați (Romania), in partnership with Comrat State University, the Brăila Museum “Carol I” (Romania), and the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chișinău. The official opening of the conference took place on 27 November 2025 and was marked by welcoming remarks from the Administration of Comrat State University, as well as from the leadership of the partner university faculty in Galați (Romania). On behalf of the Cross-Border Faculty, the Dean, Assoc. Prof., PhD Eng. Carmelia-Mariana Bălănică-Dragomir delivered an address, highlighting the existing opportunities to further strengthen the partnership between the two institutions in promoting the Romanian language (Romania) and European values through academic events held in Comrat (Republic of Moldova). The Mayor of Comrat Municipality, Mr. Serghei Anastasov, also attended the event, acting as a reliable supporter of educational projects implemented in the ATU Gagauzia region. During the opening ceremony, the importance of strengthening academic cooperation, promoting the Romanian language, and developing joint educational initiatives among partners was underscored. Professors and students of Comrat State University, as well as participants of the Romanian language courses organized by the Cross-Border Faculty, actively took part in the conference. Participants presented their research papers within the conference’s working sections, demonstrating a high level of preparation and strong interest in linguistic and cultural research. On the first day of the event, during the plenary session, two substantial presentations were delivered by invited guests: – the Director of the Brăila Museum “Carol I” (Romania); – the Director of the “Panait Istrati” County Library of Brăila Municipality (Romania). At its second edition, the conference brought together over 70 scientific papers presented across various sections dedicated to the following fields: language, literature, linguistics, education, communication, culture and civilization, multiculturalism and multilingualism; discourse in a multicultural environment. The conference concluded on 29 November 2025 with a practical workshop titled “Multicultural Dialogues and Cross-Border Research”. This scientific conference has become a significant platform for communication and exchange of views in the Romanian language within the ATU Gagauzia region. Participants exchanged research results and presented their academic projects, thus contributing to the strengthening of inter-university cooperation between researchers on both banks of the Prut River.
