On September 12, 2025, Comrat State University hosted a working meeting with a delegation from the district of Gümüşova, Düzce Province (Republic of Türkiye). The visit was organized within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new forms of cooperation between educational institutions and local authorities.
The delegation included:
- Kenan Şübekçi — Mayor of the Municipality of Gümüşova;
- Erkan Toymaz — Deputy Mayor of Düzce City;
- Ali İnan — expert in education and public administration, former Head of the National Education Directorate.
During the discussions, the parties addressed a wide range of issues related to partnership opportunities. Special attention was given to prospects for joint initiatives in education and public administration, the exchange of experience in local governance, as well as new areas of cooperation that could contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. It was emphasized that establishing and expanding contacts between the university and local authorities creates new opportunities for the development and implementation of projects aimed at improving the quality of educational programs, fostering academic mobility, and deepening international cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their mutual interest in further strengthening dialogue and implementing specific projects that will enhance scientific, educational, and cultural ties. Comrat State University extends sincere gratitude to the delegation from Gümüşova for their visit, openness to constructive dialogue, and readiness for joint work. The university is confident that these established contacts will form the basis for long-term cooperation, creating new opportunities for students, faculty, and representatives of local authorities in both countries.
