
On November 5, 2025, Comrat State University took part in the 2nd Conference of the Azerbaijani Youth Diaspora of the Republic of Moldova, held in Chișinău. With a welcoming speech at the event spoke Irina Sulac, representative of Comrat State University and inspector for the organization of the educational process with foreign students. In her address, Irina Sulac emphasized the importance of participation of Azerbaijani students studying at Comrat State University in such meetings that bring together active and talented youth. She noted that the Azerbaijani community in the Republic of Moldova serves as a vivid example of unity, mutual support, and respect for national traditions, while Azerbaijani students make a significant contribution to the life of the university, actively participating in academic and cultural initiatives. Currently, more than 40 students from Azerbaijan are studying at Comrat State University in various specialties. The university provides all the necessary conditions for their study and accommodation, as well as supports their participation in student mobility programs such as Erasmus+, DAAD, and other international projects. In her speech, Irina Sulac also focused on the cooperation between Comrat State University and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Moldova. One of the areas of this partnership is the renovation and modernization of the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture at Comrat State University, which will become a space for meetings, dialogue, and cultural events for Azerbaijani students. Irina Sulac expressed gratitude to the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova and personally to Mr. Elchin Bayramov for the invitation and support of youth initiatives, and conveyed words of appreciation on behalf of the rector of the university, Assoc., prof. PhD Serghei Zaharia. In conclusion, she emphasized that education is a bridge connecting cultures and countries, and that Comrat State University is always open to cooperation, academic exchanges, and new projects aimed at strengthening friendship between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
